Well, the fallout from the town board meeting continues with lots of different takes and viewpoints that were published in the local papers yesterday. To try and sum it up.... most said that the settlement agreement was not met with open ears and will most likely go nowhere due to the fact that Dr. Briggs still has not submitted the proper paperwork and funds to request annexation.
For some, this means that the town will not let an outsider come in and dictate to the Board how things will be done and keep the respect and dignity intact for so many.
To others it means that the town does not care if the golf course is open or closed or what the impact of business is.

One thing is for sure! The upcoming elections should dictate which side of this issue has more followers. Hopefully by that time, it will not be to late.

Not much snow out of the last storm. I would say about 3 inches overall for Cuchara. Cold last night yet again with lows around 16 degrees. Next storm supposed to be through on Sunday.

Sheri and I are trying our best to come up with potential new operators of the Timbers Restaraunt. I am hopeful that one of the few prospects I have been speaking to is brave enough to give it a go. If we cant get golfers to eat there, maybe the circus will send some of their clowns to dine in.
